Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query under its own practices and returns the response. Mineral County Criminal History does not keep a local log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
A message sent directly to the site may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the exchange. It is not shared beyond the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Routine server logs may receive technical details when a page loads, including:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files used to understand traffic, page use, and navigation patterns. Analytics providers may combine those signals into aggregate reports. Browser controls can block or remove cookies, although doing so may change how some features behave.
What We Do With This Data
Collected information may be processed for the following operational purposes:
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
Mineral County Criminal History does not own, compile, or sell a database of criminal records about individuals. It identifies public channels at the Mineral County Sheriff, Hawthorne courts, RCCD Records Bureau, and Nevada Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report, and the site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies supply the search boxes. Their privacy terms, retention choices, and disclosure rules govern data entered into a tool. Review the provider's policy before submitting information because this policy does not control that processing.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Nevada agencies, Mineral County offices, courts, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy terms apply. Review them before providing personal information.
Advertising services may use their own technology to measure activity across websites or select ads. Those systems are operated by the provider.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be disclosed to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for information within the site's control. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so transmission and storage always carry some risk.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. A verified request concerning a minor's submitted data will be addressed through deletion where appropriate.
Your Data Rights
Rights vary by residence and applicable law. The Nevada Public Records Act in NRS Chapter 239 governs public agencies rather than this private site, while NRS Chapter 179A controls dissemination of Nevada repository history. A person may ask to:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised when site practices or legal duties change. The replacement version becomes effective when posted with its new date.
